That’s Bill Powers and Cynthia Rowley standing there on the wood barrier, checking out the surf. The photo is from a story I wrote on them (and their 1971 Mercury Cougar XR-7) for the Times last summer. They’re in the Times again this weekend in this fun story about their action-packed days and nights. The afternoon I spent with them, I was most impressed by how they were always in the moment, their minds engaged and dynamic. It was definitely a fun afternoon. On a related note … summer!
