Have Citroen, Will Travel
Another week, another story for The Times. This one’s about Tristan Villemain and Quentin Renaud, those two French guys there, who have been driving that Citroen 2CV from Vietnam to Paris. It’s mad. They started in Ho Chi Minh City. They drove south through Thailand and Malaysia and Singapore. They shipped the car to Australia and drove across that continent. They shipped the car to South America and drove up that continent, through Panama into Central America. They drove through Mexico and into the States. Last weekend, they stopped in New York City, and I interviewed them at a fundraising barbecue in Long Island City. From here, they head to Africa.
It’s a great story that surpasses the sheer number of miles they’ve traveled, which is 25,000. And they each only packed one pair of jeans. Yikes.
